Polina Sokolova (b. 1999, Tver, Russia) has been living and working in Vienna since 2018. Since 2021, she has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the class of Daniel Richter.
In her practice, she explores how past echoes into the present, shaping new forms of perception and memory—both collective and individual. She is particularly interested in how different forms of violence can become normalized or invisible, and how the boundaries of reality blur.
